Be part of a supportive rurally-based team, and enjoy flexible working with great developmental opportunities.
At Maydencroft, our family feel extends to our team; our people and their wellbeing are always our primary focus.
And in a world of zero hours contracts and casual workers, we offer full-time permanent employment, with competitive salaries, voluntary overtime and a truly supportive working environment.
Alongside market-leading benefits and ongoing training, you’ll enjoy a supportive work environment in beautiful rural spaces.
As well as our headquarters in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, we have three fully equipped offices in converted buildings on working farms - and we use the most advanced technology and techniques, so there are always new things to learn and discover.
We have an open culture, where support and communication is paramount. Our people are able to work flexibly, remotely and independently - and actively encouraged to follow their passions and work towards their own projects.
We look after our people We know that if we find great people and equip them to be the best they can be, there’s nothing we can’t achieve. And because of that, our employees are happy to stay with us.
We look after our environment We’re committed to sustainability in everything we do. From reducing our carbon footprint through recycling and embracing clean energy, to planting thousands of trees and helping rare species to thrive… we stay connected to our world, whether urban or rural.
We make sure you have a safe place to work From PPE and appropriate workwear, to ongoing training, we ensure your safety and wellbeing always comes first. We’re market-leading in this, with 12 health and safety accreditations , which we rigorously follow, and are independently audited for.
As a large rural employer, we’re in a unique position to offer rewarding apprenticeships to many young people.
In partnership with Shuttleworth College, the Berkshire College of Agriculture and Capel Manor College, we’ve created a tailored apprenticeship programme which has so far seen more than 25 apprentices join our team.
Plus, as members of The 5% Club (an organisation that helps drive ‘earn and learn’ initiatives for young people), we’ve also pledged to having a minimum of 5% of our workforce enrolled on formalised apprenticeships, sponsored student and/or graduate development schemes.
To find out more about our apprenticeships or to apply, please get in touch.
We are committed to equality of opportunity in all our employment practices, policies and procedures for all existing, potential and former employees, contractors, customers, suppliers - and every individual we work with.
We proudly support armed forces leavers and veterans transitioning to civilian careers. We recognise the exceptional skills and experiences veterans bring, which can make a meaningful contribution to the success of our operations.
To help veterans demonstrate their full potential, we offer customised work placements, interview coaching, and skills assessments. We aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where veterans and service leavers can thrive and achieve lasting success.
