When surfacing paths, we top-dress the crushed concrete with concrete fines or concrete dust, a perfect medium for footpaths or bridleways.
Screened tarmac planings are an aggregate made from recycled road surfacing. It works very well in a wide range of applications, and is an extremely cost-efficient method of surfacing paths, driveways, yards and tracks.
Depending on the location in the UK, quarried aggregates are more visually appealing that recycled aggregates. Products such as granite and limestone can be used for both sub-base and top-dressing, and we also often work with self-binding aggregates like Breedon gravel, particularly in historic landscapes.
We use bitmac (single-sized layers of aggregate binded with bitumen) to surface roads, drives, footpaths and car parks. It’s an extremely durable and adaptable material, and our trained experts use specialist equipment to produce a neat, even, hard-wearing surface that’s able to withstand frequent use by vehicles and pedestrians.
Our highly trained teams use specialist equipment to tar, spray and chip car parks, driveways and paths. This helps prolong the life of the area, with a stable layer of stone chippings, securely attached to the surface by a bitumen emulsion. As well as being durable, this method has low maintenance costs – and creates a non-slip surface, improving grip for walkers and skid resistance for cyclists.
Our team of specialists use resin bonded and resin bound surfacing to construct attractive, durable car parks, drives and pathways that blend seamlessly into the natural environment.
Resin bonded surfacing (loose gravel aggregates fixed to concrete, asphalt, wood or metal) gives the appearance of loose gravel without the maintenance issues. Resin bound paving (a pre-mixed combination of aggregate stones and resin) is a flexible surfacing material, and resistant to cracking – as well as being SuDS (sustainable drainage system) compliant.
