Ian has worked in arboriculture for a good number of years, developing extensive experience across both arboricultural consultancy and tree safety management. Throughout his career, he has built strong technical knowledge alongside practical site experience, working with a wide range of private, commercial, and public sector clients.
Ian’s primary areas of expertise are split between BS5837 surveys and reporting and tree safety inspections. He regularly undertakes Tree Constraints Plans, Impact Assessments, Method Statements, and Tree Protection Plans to support planning and development projects.
Alongside development consultancy work, Ian has significant experience delivering large-scale tree safety inspections and risk assessments for housing associations, district councils, county councils, and other landowners. This includes assessing tree condition, identifying defects, evaluating risk, and providing clear, pragmatic management recommendations.
