Daniel Gent

Head of Contracting – West

Dan joined Maydencroft from the utilities sector to oversee our well-established Windsor office. Dan is a highly accomplished and motivated senior leader with a wealth of experience in managing contracts from both an operational and support function role. Dan has been responsible for the management of large, diverse, and complex, geographical regions including the East of England and North London, and a range of multiskilled Engineers and Managers, in delivering a successful regional contract as part of a national initiative.

Dan has played key roles in setting up contracts from the ground up, from interview, to point of induction and training, to boots on the ground. Dan has been heavily involved in developing a range of core processes and standards, and technical documentation ensuring safety and compliance across multiple workstreams, to continually improve and evolve the quality of works delivered, while maintaining relationships as the main contact for governing bodies, such as OFGEM, Gas Safe, IGEM and local government authority. Dan is always keen to understand the finite detail and believes that accurate data is the first platform from which to set operational goals and is well versed in providing key data and MI at senior management and board level meetings, able to dazzle his colleagues with impressive and progressive graphs and trends to highlight gains in multiple areas of his contracts.

From the outset, Dan has always felt at home at Maydencroft and feels duty bound to continually develop our foundations and build our business, ever seeking to push the business to new heights. If a task feels too big, too complex, or needs to be looked at from ‘outside of the box’, Dan will find a path to make it happen safely and compliantly. Dan enjoys a challenge and will always meet the challenge, as a keen ultra-marathon runner and former Soldier, we like to keep him busy.
