Head of Green Skills Training Academy

David joined Maydencroft in February 2024 as Head of the Green Skills Training Academy.

He is an experienced teacher, school improvement adviser, leader and qualified coach. He is passionate about the power of education to transform people’s lives having successfully led a team of 30 advisers for a large school improvement company.

Following 30 years of experience working in a range of educational settings and in a variety of local and national projects, he is excited to meet the challenge of enhancing the skills and knowledge in the Green Skills Sector. In particular, realising our pledge to:

  • Deliver 30 new environmental courses, increasing employability and affecting positive impact on the environment.
  • Give back 10,000 green skills to the rural economy, bridging the gap in current expertise shortages.
  • Create 100 new jobs and give many more people the opportunity to establish careers in the green sector.
