Sarah has worked in the countryside sector for over 20 years, starting out working in country parks and gaining a distinction for her Masters degree in Countryside Management.
She gained considerable experience over several years with Natural England where she was a lead advisor for Sites of Special Scientific Interest, agri-environment scheme agreements and landscape-scale approaches across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. She has written numerous publications and articles, including Natural England's National Character Area profiles for the Chilterns, Marlborough Downs and Thames Basin Heaths and an article about the Box tree for the Royal Forestry Society's journal QJF.
Her more recent roles have involved project management as a Project Manager for a Heritage Lottery project to conserve native Box woodlands with the Chilterns Conservation Board and then as National Trail Manager for the historic 87-mile recreational routeway known as The Ridgeway working with six local authorities.
