Les has been involved in ecological consultancy since 2009.

In 2016 he received a doctorate for research covering biodiversity assessment and the use of metric-based approaches for biodiversity offsetting.

Drawing from his wide experience and comprehensive knowledge base, Les provides specialist advice to landowners, developers, designers and planners.

Biodiversity Net Gain, offsetting and mapping form the focus of his work which is supported by continued involvement with species and habitat surveys.

Les says: “I strongly believe that biodiversity net gain offers a genuine opportunity that will form an important contribution towards environmental and ecological recovery. My mission is to see that our projects benefit from the best knowledge, experience and evidence so that biodiversity gain is done and delivered as well as it possibly can be.”
