Chris Beer

Tree Planting & Aftercare Manager

Starting his career in agriculture, Chris moved to Maydencroft in 2010 as an Environment and Landscaping Operative from a fencing and agricultural supplier. Adapting to the growth of the business Chris fulfilled many roles before settling into the office as Contracts Manager, earning an oversight and understanding of the business at all levels.

In 2019 Chris took a break in his career to focus on and support his young family before returning in 2022.

“I am thrilled to return to the green sector, and at such a pivotal time. Maydencroft is ideally positioned to help contribute towards the Government’s ambitious targets for net zero by 2050. The conversation around carbon sequestration and natural capital make this an exciting time to be involved in planting and maintaining trees. There is a huge importance in this role and its place in securing the environment for generations to come.”

Chris is involved in all aspects – from planting street trees in towns and cities to new woodland creation schemes through the numerous grant schemes available, such as the England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO).

“At Maydencroft we are all working together as a team which allows us to implement real change in the best interest of the environment but also for our clients.”
