James Shakespeare-Smith

Project Manager

Since graduating from Brighton University in 2010 studying BSc Environment Hazards, James started work in the private sector undertaking construction and maintenance of watercourses and water features for a national environmental contractor.

Building his knowledge and skill set from the ground up, he joined Maydencroft in 2018 in Windsor and was promoted to Contracts Manager, bringing a move to head office in late 2018.

It was at head office when James developed his skill set further, focusing on tendering, delivering and overseeing works across the company utilising Maydencroft’ s assets.

James has furthered his knowledge base undertaking his Prince2 qualification and continues to look for improvements that can aid Maydencroft’s delivery in the environmental sector. He prides himself on offering cost effective, no nonsense, environmentally friendly solutions in our green spaces.

In 2022 James was promoted to a new role within Maydencroft as Project Manager, saying

“Our ‘environment first’ values put us in a really strong position to capitalise on the continual demand from our existing and growing client base, and I hope to bring new avenues of opportunities to the company. Working with existing teams and increasing our delivery capabilities through the use of subcontractors, our portfolio of operations will grow - offering new opportunities to those already working here and taking on larger schemes of work across the country”
