Tony Jackson

Senior Park Ranger

Tony’s love for forestry began over 42 years ago.

After attending Newton Rigg Forestry School, Tony went on to qualify as a Forest Craftsman in 1980.

In 1983 Tony formed a forestry contracting company, Falcon Forestry, with his lifelong friend Charlie Haley. Covering all aspects of forestry from establishment to harvesting and sawmilling, Tony has worked on private estates, grounds and woodlands including mineral extraction companies all around the Country.

To date, Tony has planted and established countless woodlands as well as clearing thousands of tonnes of wind damaged trees following the hurricanes of 1987 and 1990.

Sadly, 33 years of working together ended abruptly when Charlie prematurely, passed away.

Following a discussion with Tom Williams, Tony decided it was time for a change of direction and was excited to join Maydencroft, assisting in starting a dedicated forestry division along with David Lee, Stuart Grove and Tom Drage.

When he is not working in the woods Tony loves nothing more than walking in them with his 6 grandchildren, who he adores.
