In 2018 while working as Tree Surgeon Team Leader and Lead Climber for Maydencroft, Luke earned the opportunity to join the consultancy department as an Arboricultural Consultant. Since then he has completed a Level 4 in Arboriculture and progressed further to the role of Principal Arboricultural Consultant at the end of 2022. Now he manages a team of consultants working for a vast range of clientele covering all aspects of arboriculture.
Luke’s primary area of expertise is BS5837 surveys and reports which are used for planning permission. Not only does Luke carry out these surveys but also supports a number of Local Planning Authorities by providing expert arboricultural advice and support when reviewing planning applications. Luke holds the Lantra Professional Tree Inspection certification and manages large scale Tree Safety and Duty of Care inspections for a number of private and commercial clients.
When not working on surveys or reports, Luke plays an active role in supporting, training and developing his team, as well delivering training courses to other members of the company.
