A look back at some traditional fence work carried out in January. At Panshanger Park, Dan Hamley, our dedicated Community Ranger, caught Senior Park Ranger Tony Jackson, showcasing his incredible hedge-laying skills. Using thorns, maple, and hazel, Tony revitalises the landscape—his passion since 1974 is truly inspiring.

This method not only beautifies our park but also supports local wildlife. It will require ongoing maintenance and trimming, reminding us that care for nature is a continuous journey.

Thanks to Tony for sharing his expertise with our volunteers—seeing such dedication in action is fantastic.
