Here are Maydencroft team members Tony and Adam working on an exciting job for the Wild Trout Trust, installing woody debris into the chalk river to create artificial meanders to an otherwise straight section of the channel.
The debris increases the flow, producing a scouring effect on the riverbed, exposing the gravels to create spawning areas for trout, also known as ‘reds.’
