On 28th October we invited friends across the green sector to our Head Office at Maydencroft Manor, Hitchin for an official opening of our new Jubilee Barn. A new barn to our house cattle in the winter months.

English Longhorn have been reared at the farm since 1982, when Tom Williams’ father Robert started our first 'conservation grazing' project for what was Welwyn Hatfield District Council. Nearly 30 years later we're still grazing for WHBC, as well as 5 more local authorities across Hertfordshire.

We're very grateful to Sir Simon Bowes-Lyon, Bim Afolami MP and Tim Hill, Conservation Manager for Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust for their attendance on Friday and help in marking the occasion. Sir Simon is a former Lord Lieutenant and Chair of Herts CPRE (Campaign for Protection of Rural England), and first cousin of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who has done sterling service to our county and constituency for decades.
