We recently attended the Royal Forestry Society 'Future Foresters Skills Day' event at Shuttleworth College.

This year's theme was "addressing skills gaps in the forestry, arboriculture and countryside sectors". Over 200 students from across the country attended the event, which involved speakers and exhibitors covering subjects such as employment skills, the use of technology in the forestry industry and career opportunities.

Speakers included our very own Tom Williams as well as Robin Jackson, City and Guilds Industry Manager (Land Based), Euan Brierly from WSP and Becky Gawthorpe, a Biosecurity Outreach Officer from the Forestry Commission. A very successful day for all!
