Tree safety inspection including aerial

Maydencroft Limited was commissioned by a chartered surveyor and property manager to undertake a Tree Safety Inspection of all trees within the formal gardens and communal areas at an upmarket gated private residence near Maidenhead.

Woolley Hall is a Grade II listed manor house with 24 acres of landscaped park, woodland and formal gardens comprising of mature trees.

Our surveyors used bespoke tree management software to record tree data onsite, and built-in GPS enabled the accurate location of each tree. A works priority timeframe is then allocated, in conjunction with management recommendations, to trees which present a hazard or may require remedial works to prevent failure. This assists the land owner in delivering works according to their work priority. Our Consultants used this data to form a comprehensive tree survey schedule and creation of digital maps. This provided our client with a clear image showing the exact location of trees, colour coded depicting their work priority timeframe.

Aerial Inspection

During the initial Tree Safety Inspection our surveyors identified a number of defects within the crowns of a select few trees that, due to the size of the trees and their associated defects, required further inspection by means of an aerial inspection. This further assessment helped to identify the risk level, associated with potential hazards that were spotted from the ground, by inspecting the size of cavities, and more importantly the remaining holding wood, and allows our climbing surveyor to distinguish active decay from in-active decay.
