Tree Condition Assessment and survey
To mitigate the impact on significant veteran trees and ancient woodland with the potential to be affected by development in Welwyn Garden City, we were asked to conduct a tree survey.
Maydencroft Limited was commissioned by Tarmac to undertake a Tree Condition Assessment and BS5837 Survey of all trees in the vicinity of a proposed development project in Welwyn Garden City.
In accordance with BS5837:2012, information on each tree’s location, dimensions and condition were recorded and categorised with regards to their quality and suitability for retention, to ensure that the proposed development complies with the requirements of both BS5837:2012 and the Local Planning Authority.
Our surveyors identified up a number of significant veteran trees and ancient woodland which can now be accurately considered where the proximity of construction works may potentially compromise their health above or below ground.
Our Consultants will continue to support the client, guiding the future management of trees with this large-scale project until completion.
