For a privately owned estate

Estate restoration and management of formal gardens

In 2009 Maydencroft constructed and planted the formal gardens of our client’s extensive estate. We continue to be involved today, through the provision of a full-time dedicated gardening team, consisting of a head gardener, under gardener and an estates manager.

320 acres of woodland, parkland and gardens
The estate is a privately owned single land holding, covering approximately 320 acres. It’s made up of four houses, mixed woodland of varying ages, a lake and extensive parkland. The mansion house, complete with underground tennis court, pool house and guest house (built 2010-2014) lies within the middle of the holding.

There are four year-old fully irrigated formal gardens surrounding the mansion, with extensive herbaceous borders and lawns, pleached trees, hedges and changes in levels. There is a recently restored Victorian informal garden, which is predominantly made up of mature deciduous and coniferous specimen trees.
