Croxley Green: installation of steps
The site: A woodland footpath leading to the Grand Union Canal in Hertfordshire near Croxley Common Moor, a Local Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The brief: To dismantle and dispose of the existing steps and grade the soil to hide the original line, then construct a flight of steps on a new, more gradual line.
Our solution: We custom built and installed approximately 30 metres of steps with a connecting boardwalk section leading into a short section of timber edged granite path at the bottom.
The result: The finished project alleviated the council's health and safety concerns over existing dangerous steps by providing a long lasting and practical solution, making this busy path safer and more user friendly.
