Tree safety inspections & surveys
The value of trees within our rural and urban landscapes cannot be overstated. However, the ownership of trees can be a source of great worry and concern. The liability held by landowners towards the safety of people and property means there is a requirement to reasonably manage the risks associated with their trees.
At Maydencroft we offer a Professional Tree Safety Inspection service to help landowners with this management. We tailor the service to the individual needs of each client and landscape to ensure that the level of inspection is relevant to each situation. Five of our arboricultural consultants hold the Lantra Professional Tree Inspection qualification.
Tree Safety Inspections are generally ground-based and employ the Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) methodology detailed in "The Body Language of Trees" (Mattheck & Breloer, HMSO, 1994). On large trees with defects that are difficult to fully assess from the ground, we can also carry out detailed climbing inspections. Following inspection, we produce work schedules set out in a manner suited to each client to enable effective management of budget and resources. We can provide costs for delivering all of the remedial tree surgery works required.
Our consultants have carried out Tree Safety Inspections for local authorities, utility companies, large private estates, and domestic clients. We regularly use a range of specialist software including Ezytreev, Arbortrack, QGIS, AutoCAD and Photoshop to manage our clients' trees and produce clear and accurate maps and plans.
