The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) states that the planning system should “contribute to and enhance” the natural and local environment by

“minimising impacts on biodiversity and providing net gains in biodiversity where possible, contributing to the Government’s commitment to halt the overall decline in biodiversity”

Landscape & Ecological Management Plans (LEMPs) and Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) are often requested by the local authority at the planning decision stage to ensure that ecological and landscape management is given due consideration throughout the demolition, construction and operational phases of the development.

Maydencroft Limited has a wealth of knowledge and experience in producing and implementing these plans for large development projects, including Braywick Leisure Centre in Maidenhead, and Northgate Car Park in Bishop’s Stortford. We are also able to provide an Ecological Clerk of Works service to support works on the ground where required.
