Tom Williams BSc (Hons)

Managing Director and founder of Maydencroft Limited

In 2007, Tom founded Maydencroft Limited from his parents’ farm at Maydencroft Manor near Hitchin in Hertfordshire.

Keeping his finger on the pulse of the industry at all times, Tom is the Chairman of the home counties division of the Royal Forestry Society, on the committee of the Hertfordshire and Middlesex branch of the Country Land and Business Association, is a trustee of The Hitchin Cow Commoners Trust and regularly guest lectures for Bedford College.

"We’re all increasingly aware of the necessity of protecting our natural surroundings. With a degree in Landscape Management from the University of Reading, I recognised the substantial business potential for a company of this type and had the experience and qualifications required to establish Maydencroft Limited."

Tom’s drive and determination to nurture Maydencroft as a long-term, quality-first company continues to strengthen the team and the service provided.

“Today, we stand as Hertfordshire’s largest rural employer as well as the top rural company for young people in the region. I am hugely proud of our long- established apprenticeship programmes with Bedford and Capel Manor College.”

As for the future, with offices in Windsor as well as Hitchin, Maydencroft continues to improve our environment and strives to be at the very top of the industry.
