John Salisbury

BSc (Hons) MSc ACIEEM CSJK

Ecologist

John joined Maydencroft in 2017, following completion of a masters degree in Environmental Consultancy at the University of Plymouth and a season of experience working as a Field Ecologist in Devon.

Since joining the company, John has developed a variety of ecological survey skills and now holds Natural England survey licences for bats and great crested newts. He has also become a fully qualified tree climber and a Certified Surveyor of Japanese Knotweed, having been named Student of the Year 2020 by the Property Care Association based on his examination results.

Outside of work, John is a committee member of the Bedfordshire Bat Group and the Herts Amphibian and Reptile Group, and leads on a number of voluntary surveys for these organisations, helping to raise awareness about the conservation of our native wildlife and provide experience for people who want to get more involved with ecology.

In October 2021, John relocated from our main Hitchin office to provide support to our growing office in Windsor, Berkshire.
