We have just bought a pair of brand new Thwaites dumpers, a 3 tonne swivel which joins our other similar sized machines and a range-topping 9 tonne dumper to work alongside our 14 tonne excavators.

St. Ippolyts United, the local Sunday side at the inaugural game in their Maydencroft strip.
It was a wet and windy day but St. Ippolyts, playing at home against Hitchin Rangers, won 5-4.
Despites the stormy conditions, there was no problem with picking out the players in their bright orange shirts!

We sponsored the Young Farmers Club stand at Herts County Show for the sixth year running, raising funds for the Herts Air Ambulance. Visitors had the chance to have a go on a telescopic handler - always popular with young attendees!

The Maydencroft team has completed the restoration of the orchard at Princess Helena College. The orchard was part of a garden design by Gertrude Jekyll, which was executed sometime between 1909 and 1923. The new design replicates what is known of the original.

We can't resist the usefulness of the Unimogs and we love them so much, we've purchased a fourth Unimog U1200. This will be predominately used by the tree surgeons but has the capability of being another fencing vehicle and can tow trailers of nearly 20 tonnes!

We have made a major investment with a brand new Volvo EC140DL excavator.
This is our second 14 tonne excavator; it has digging buckets for conventional groundwork but as with our other excavator, we have also had it extensively adapted so it can operate a range of specialist attachments such as clearance and demolition grapples, land rakes and tree shears...
